Fire Defense Systems is partnering with the Xentity for a U.S. Forest Service (USFS) project to modernize the Enterprise Geospatial Portal (EGP). This project aims to enhance situational awareness and incident management in wildland firefighting. By upgrading to cloud-based geospatial solutions, EGP-NG will improve data access and management for field personnel and coordination centers. Over seven years, this initiative will create a sustainable, secure, and efficient geospatial data ecosystem, supporting resilient landscapes and fire-adapted communities.

Fire Defense Systems (FDS) collaborates with Xentity on OGC's Climate and Disaster Resilience Pilot 2024 (CDRP24), focusing on integrating Generative AI (GenAI) to enhance wildland fire (WF) management. This initiative aims to improve preparedness, response, and recovery efforts by optimizing resource allocation and anticipating fire behavior within the National Incident Management System (NIMS) framework. GenAI promises to revolutionize WF management, enhancing resilience and effectiveness in combating wildfires.

Placerville Project - Wildfire Resilience and Management Development Plan
Fire Defense Systems is enhancing wildfire resilience for a mesa-top property through a phased approach. This includes clearing dead trees and brush, managing young aspen and ponderosa stands, and developing a trail to serve as a firebreak. Future plans involve pond construction and expanding fire mitigation efforts as the property grows. The project aims to reduce fire intensity, improve safety, and support long-term land management.

Promoting Wildfire-Resilient Workforce Housing: Innovations by Fire Defense Systems
Our pilot workforce housing project enhances community resilience in the Wildland Urban Interface through innovative construction, strategic fire mitigation, and sustainable design. By integrating local culture and green spaces, we aim to reduce wildfire risks and ensure community safety.
